Eyes — Hazel brown irises. Her irises expand and darken when she senses incoming danger or feels threatened.
Hair — Dark brown long waves with golden layered highlights that mimic the colour of sunlight reflecting on her iridescent mermaid tail.
| mermaid form
During the day, Nabi's crystal-white scales seem to glimmer with hues of gold under the sunlight. When there is a full moon, her scales reflect the bright glow of nighttime - appearing silver in colour. Her scales trail down the sides of her breasts in separate flakes before eventually coming together with her tail. Nabi has large flukes for long-distance and fast swimming. Her mermaid tail has countershading, where the backside is darker to hide her from predators looking down, and the front is lighter to hide her from predators looking up. The demi-goddess often dwells in the Deep Sea instead of the Open Ocean (this is before she settled in New Orleans). To resist the frigid temperatures of the deep, she has thick insulated skin while her scales darken in colour (ranging from dark blue to purplish-black) to preserve her body heat.
Nabi's mermaid form is entirely naked - jewels and gold specks of the Deep Sea adorn the barren parts of her flesh instead. She does, however, decorate herself with a detachable pearl necklace (a souvenir of hers for the cleansing of her victims).
바다와 나비 (The Sea and the Butterfly)
아모도 그에게 水深을 일러 준 일이 없기에
힌나비는 도모지 바다가 무섭지않다.
Because nobody told her how deep the water is,
The white butterfly is never afraid of the sea.
- Kim Kirim (1946)
virtue — Nabi is by nature kind and empathetic; she watches over her fellow water spirits and caters to the marine life surrounding her. She is protective of those who are helpless, refusing to capitulate to the threats of the wicked no matter the unfavourable circumstances. The demi-goddess is loyal to those she names her ally. She is passionate about her duty as a demi-goddess - protecting the weak and immortalising the act of purifying the condemned.
vice — The demi-goddess is irrational. Nabi will hunt and kill the evil-doers even when the crime committed was only done once and void of intention. She is oblivious to her acts of wickedness - reasoning that it is necessary to cleanse the world of evil. Nabi is also quick to trust. She harbours no ill assumptions on those she knows nought of and instead blindly puts her faith in them unless proven to her otherwise.
+ Nabi obtains her wealth from the treasures of the Deep Sea. Because of this, her preferred method of payment is in Gold Shillings. The demi-goddess does not perform her modern-day exchanges herself. In her stead, her Vassal attends to them (more details on her Vassal in Connections).
+ Nabi's purification method is drowning her victims while clogging their throats with a single pearl snapped from her necklace. She believes that death through drowning will have the Ocean cleansing them of evil, and the pearl symbolizes the purity of their instant demise.
